1st the worst, 2nd the best.

This dresser...oh this dresser.  I loved this piece from the moment I saw it.  I knew it's potential.  However, it took me a couple weeks to actually purchase the dresser because there was layers and layers of paint that I would have to strip.  At that point I had no idea that I would in fact find 7 COATS off paint...7!!  Cream, and pink, and stain, and crackle medium and more pink...it was a disaster!  I had to strip it 3 times and then sand it.  NOT FUN!  I found some really sweet surprises though when she was all stripped including amazing gold pegged metal legs...EEK!  She was one-hundred percent worth it in the end.  

I can't find a pic of the before :( but just know that it was bad.  It had about 10 layers of different kinds of nasty paint.  So I transformed it into this:

After I finished the dresser, a fellow artist decided she loved the piece but wanted it in a charcoal gray.  So I set out AGAIN on stripping the dresser and doing a custom paint job, and it turned out exactly how it should have always been.

She's gonna look stunning in her new home that looks exactly like a west elm magazine.  By far my favorite piece I've done so far.  This dresser has put me in a Mid-Century Modern mood. I just picked up 4 Mid-Century pieces to redo.  So excited.

The Mint

This dresser has been a working progress for a while.  And I am happy to say I am finally finished with her.  She is one of my favorites so far.  I just love her.  I am tempted to keep her, but we will see.  If you want her, you better come snatch her up fast before I change my mind.  She would look great in one of our photoshoots or as a desert table at a wedding, so I may keep her for that too.  I did some research on her, and I am pretty sure she is from the 60's.

Not only are there 6 more drawers...but they have amazing wallpaper on them.  Nothing like a little print to make you smile everytime you open the doors :) HEHE!

We finished a custom dresser today for a nursery of cutest couple who is expecting their first child. I felt a little honored to take on this task. The dresser came out so good. It was a solid piece of furniture!

I hope the family loves it for a LONG time.

 This table was a blast to do..we played around with different stains to create a older aged look on the top..and distressed the bottom in a turquoise color! This table can be a table for two or a table for four.. it is a great little table!!!

Do we have a love for turquoise?? well yes we do!! when in doubt do it turquoise..... this piece was a beautiful vanity before, but now it is updated with still a vintage feel....

MAGGIE and some Chalk Paint

When we picked Maggie up, we knew that we were going to use some Chalk Paint because she is not made out of pure wood.  Chalk Paint is specifically formulated paint made for furniture and is made to be painted on ANYTHING, not just wood.  Well It turned out beautiful.  We went with fun and different knobs and would be perfect to use as a dresser, buffet for a dinning room or behind a couch in a living room.  Here are the before and afters...Hope you like her!

We were going to put the chairs on rollers with this table but chose a different route.

Instead we went with different mismatched wood chairs with matching Mustard Yellow fabric

It turned out to be one of our fav's!

From one day to the next, we went from selling our furniture at the swap meet, to opening up a store.
It started as a bare junk pile, for all things Plaza Properties.

First up, clearing out the warehouse.

Second, sanding the floors.

and lastly, painting the walls with our signature mustard stripes :)
